Your terrace door leads onto a wonderfully private terrace with wooden outdoor furniture and the beautiful grounds of st martin chalets. A walk through our gardens will bring your soul to soar. Stop, sit for a while and wonder the micro-habitat of aquatic water-friends who’ve made their home in our natural biotope pond and whilst out strolling, help yourself to the ripe juicy organic fruits, vegetables and herbs.
Sauna and fitness room
To add to your relaxing alpine retreat or complement your training program, st martin chalets’ guests have their own private bio sauna with reclining loungers and a well-equipped sun-lit fitness studio over-looking the fresh-water pond.

We’re far from your “run-of-the-mill” regular chalet village. The st martin chalets in Salzburg Land is unique and delightfully charming (just like our guests!) The 10 timber-built chalets have been built in the traditional Lungau style with great attention to detail. Local craftsmen have put all their experience into completing the chalets to the highest standard using natural local materials. Your holiday chalet is equipped to the highest standard and you’ll find everything you need to make your vacation perfect.
A mindful way of life
Did you know the reclaimed timbers used in our chalets come from old Lungau farmhouses (some are over 300 years old!)? We opted out on all varnishes and plastics, and the insulation comes from fluffy sheep wool. The individually designed & hand-built chalets are the perfect place to relax, regenerate and just feel good. Despite their rustic style, each luxury chalet is equipped to the very highest of standards.
Lungau folk assign special importance to living together in a respectful and loving way, as well as a symbiotic relationship with nature and the environment. We value in particular the quality of our Lungau regional catering and we’ll always shop locally, supporting our local suppliers and sustainable businesses.

Our ten self-catered st martin chalets are well-equipped for the most discerning of guests, and even those who normally prefer to stay in hotels.
We offer you a complete service – starting with grocery shopping before your arrival, to your morning delivery of fresh bread. We also happily deliver you a ‘Bio-Box’, filled with regional products from the Sauschneider farm. We top up cut firewood to your chalet for your cosy evening by the fire. You can come and chat with us in the evenings and gather some tips for your next day’s adventure or simply retreat and unwind in our sauna or enjoy workout in our fitness studio.
