Things to know when travelling with your pet

House rules So that everyone can have a wonderful holiday with their dog in st martin chalets, we request you keep your pooch under control and on a lead when walking around the chalet village. Let us know if you’re leaving your furry friend alone in the chalet, we’d love to take him for walkies! And last but not least: Poop bags are on supply, and we do please insist you clear away after he’s been!

Extra cleaning charge We make a small extra charge per stay, per furry friend for cleaning. We also reserve the right to charge for any damages (please, no gnawing on the furniture!)

Pooch passport Your pet will need to be fully chipped, a passport and an up-to-date vaccination certificate when travelling through Salzburg land as well as any other EU countries. If there’s anything you’re still unsure of, don’t hesitate to drop us a line or give us call.

Our tips We’re eager to make your holiday with your dog with us in Salzburg Lungau as easy and as enjoyable as possible. We know (as dog owner’s ourselves) the favourite walks and places where your dog can run freely as well as all the dog-friendly restaurants. Our friendly local vet is just a 3-minute drive or 25-minute walk from st martin chalets for you to get the “going home” pill for UK friend.

Our wonderful chalets are the perfect place to relax and enjoy time with loved ones, including your four-legged friends. You and our dogs will love our spacious grounds as well as the living areas and cosy corners of your chalet, with plenty of room for their basket and toys.

Walks can begin right at your front door and after a long day of adventures, your chalet’s lovely outside terrace is the perfect place for you all to relax during warm evenings, looking out towards the mountain tops of Aineck, Grosseck & Speiereck.

If you want to get to the top of the mountain quickly, the St Michael Sonnenbahn lift is just minutes from us and takes you to Speiereck, with your dog travelling free.

Or ride the Grosseck-Speiereck “Grosseckbahn” gondola from Mauterndorf up to 2,000 meters above sea level or the Obertauern cable car, which both offer free travel for your dog.
