Why that is we simply cannot fathom: we have some breathtaking and brilliant golf courses in Austria and they’re almost never busy! We’re sure it won’t be for long before the European golfers catch on. There are 4 stunning championship golf courses within a 45-minute drive of st martin chalets and each one is every bit as good as its Portuguese and Spanish cousins!
Golfclub Lungau is less than a km away from st martin chalets and, while you could probably walk there if you wanted to it’s best to pop your clubs in a car and take the short ride . Ask us if you wish to hire clubs, we have a good selection of sets (for left handers too!) Play your 18 holes or 9 holes or just get some practise in and knock a few balls out on the excellent driving range. The 19er restaurant has the most fabulous views over the fairways, enjoy a couple of drinks and watch the sunset over the mountains. Perfect!

Golf Club Lungau

Golf Club Lungau
The Golf Club Lungau (+43 6477 7448) is a kilometer from the resort. You can either walk, drive or hop on the local bus. The course is truely wonderful to play – even the most seasoned golfer loves it! And if you get caught out on the tricky 19th Hole (!!) we’ll be happy to pick you up! Chalet guests receive discounted green fees at the Golf Club Lungau.

Golf Club Millstätter See
To the south, in the next county of Carinthia lies another beautiful course, the Golf Club Millstätter See, directly over-looking the enchanting dark waters of the deepest lake in Austria (+43 4762 82548)
With its idyllic location stretching over rolling hills with spectacular views of the lake and the surrounding mountains, this course offers a unique combination of sporting challenge and breathtaking beauty. The course is located between st martin chalets and Klagenfurt Airport and makes a great start or end to your holiday enroute to or from the airport.
