Try the numerous different floating dumplings, served in a big bowl of steaming hot beef broth. For the sweet-tooth, share an always huge portion of  “Kaiserschmarn” (translates to the Emperor’s rubbish!) at one of the mountain huts. It’s homemade in an old cast iron skillet with a tonne of eggs, flour and sugar and served with side of spiced stewed plums or apples.
